A Bible study group meets on the Truman University campus. The group is chartered by the university and is advised by Professor Barry Poyner, Emerita Cathy Poyner, and Emeritus Joe Rhoads. Cathy is now a senior financial analyst at A.T. Still University.
Dan and Gaylene Green assist with the college outreach and may be contacted at 816-695-5201 if you need a ride to church. The university recognition permits advantages in scheduling rooms and promoting church events. Click on the Ekklesia website pages to discover all the activities. Special events the last 3 years included two showings of the movie “The Case for Christ,” two showings of “God’s Not Dead,” a mission emphasis weekend in the spring featuring Truman graduate Landon Anderson, an a cappella concert by Harding University Chorus, an a cappella concert by the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis (pictured top, left), and laser tag in Columbia with campus ministries from Rolla and Mizzou (pictured lower, right). Landon (pictured top, right) entered the Adventures in Missions program at Sunset in Lubbock, TX, and is now working with Mission Up Reach in Honduras. We were blessed to have Coach White of McFarland U.S.A. speak on campus and to show the film. John Clayton shared with us a “Does God Exist Lectureship” and returns in Mar. 2018.
